Introduction The Fiddlers Men’s Golf Group play on a Saturday at La Manga Club when we aim to have a maximum of 5 tee times. We always play a team game with the format chosen by the organiser of the day. Teams are drawn in advance and tee times notified accordingly via WHATSAPP. The format might be a Scramble, any variety of team Stableford, Traffic Lights, Blind Match Play, Devil Ball - whatever the group considers a fun game - and we normally meet up afterwards at the Owners Clubhouse to discuss matters of global importance such as the match result. There is a modest levy on players (currently 10€) to cover 2 drinks and, if early enough in the day, a small snack. Our Treasurer will decide if there is sufficient money raised to provide a small prize but that only seems to occur if he is in the winning team - which doesn't happen very often! Otherwise, any surplus goes into the Fiddlers’ kitty which is subsequently used to subsidise a more substantial tapas selection. Active membership is limited to 36 with each game restricted to a maximum of 20 players. Weekly games are set up on-line and there is an on-line facility to allow members to put their names down against the games in which they wish to play. Tee times are booked 4 weeks in advance and entry lists are closed at the same time so members are asked to put their names down well in advance (ie: more than 4 weeks). Guests can be invited but remember that members take priority so guests cannot always be guaranteed a game. One final point - it is the member’s responsibility to ensure that green fees are paid when appropriate. Golf Admin will have the names of those playing so will know each player’s status.
